We are fortunate enough to have partnered with the Noor Cultural Centre and the Canadian Council of Muslim Women for an exhibit and event this October. The work will be on display from October 12-27 at the Noor Cultural Centre (123 Wynford Drive, Toronto), and and can be viewed free of charge on Sundays from 10-1 and Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 10-3. The exhibit will include documentation from the two-year SSHRC ID project Beyond the Divide: A Century of Mosque Design and Gender Allocations as well as curated pieces from Room Sometimes With a View, a series of multi-media collages Dr. Gaber has been developing to depict the experience of women in the spaces of prayer she has visited.
In addition to the exhibit, the Women Who Inspire Event will take place on October 22, 2017. This is a ticketed event. More information can be found by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or by visiting http://ccmw.com/ccmw-events/women-who-inspire-2017-awards-brunch/
